Hi all,

The club meet this Wednesday evening April 17th is from Howth harbour.

Current predicted winds are for F2 - F3 NE’ly with possible occasional gusts just a little above that.

As of now, this trip is open to all (paid up) members, except absolute beginners.

Meet at RNLI slipway for 1900hrs to be on the water for 1930hrs.

Make sure all your gear and clothing are up to spec, especially skeg, deck lines and hatch covers.

Do ensure also to bring lights for your kayak / PFD (dusk will descend circa 2030hrs). If you don’t have lights of some kind, let me know via text or post here so we can bring along some spare glow sticks for people (they’re free ! ). Don’t underestimate this requirement. Everyone will need some illumination.

Bring drinks (including at least one hot drink) and snacks as we may stop for a break at some point.

If you intend to come along, make sure to check back here tomorrow after 1830hrs for a final update.

As usual, the final call will be made on the slipway on Wednesday evening.

Any queries or if you’re not sure whether or not this trip is for you, give me a call or text on 086-4124430.
