I am just back from Spain where Helen T, Michael McL and I raced the Sella Descent.

Congratulations to Helen who took Silver in her category

The older paddlers (i.e. us two Michaels) had a 16km course.
Helen had to slog it out over 20km to finish her race.

Very well done to the two Michaels participation and what sounds like superb sportsmanship and maybe even a bit of fun. I look forward to watching some of the footage.

Thanks everyone. It was a very tough race and a case of survival of the fittest. Got a few injuries but nothing serious. My rudder broke after 5mins into the race and got fell out 3 times. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. On my way home from France now. Looking forward to clocking up some distance for “Her Paddle Journey” starting from tomorrow
