Club Equipment

Ideally, each club member should have all of their own equipment. However, for newer members who don't yet own their own equipment or where regular members need to occasionally borrow equipment, the club has 4 sea kayaks, a general purpose kayak and some basic gear available to borrow.

Available equipment

  • Valley "Avocet", 2 NDK "Sports", 1 NDK "Sportive", 1 General Purpose plastic kayak

  • Paddles to match above boats

  • Range of spraydecks to fit above boats

Note: The club does not have wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets  or cagoules available. It is your personal responsibility to ensure that you are appropriately clothed and equipped for any trip you attend, and as highlighted below you must confirm in writing that you will have all necessary equipment to attend the planned trip.

How to book an equipment loan

Complete the equipment booking form at least 7 days in advance of the meet to make arrangements for collection and return. You will need to have your own transport, including roof bars and straps, and you will need to collect and return the gear yourself.

Cost

Club equipment may be used by members without charge. Timely collection and return is expected.
